What is CDS?
Essentially, CDS is a Medicaid program funded by the State of Missouri. This program allows disabled persons to remain in their home, while directing services that can be provided by a family member or a qualified caregiver.
Services Included
Consumer Directed Services include:
- Personal Care. This includes assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, medication reminders, toileting, changing bed pads, diapering, etc.
- Housekeeping. This includes assistance with cleaning, dusting, bed linens, laundry, trash, etc.
- Meals. This includes assistance with Meal preparation and/or assistance with feeding, washing dishes, etc.
- Transportation. This includes assistance with shopping, errands, etc.
